Just a brief status – the new year is well on it’s way, and I’ve already added a few books to my collection!
My dad went to Turkey and brought back the first two books in the Jonny Duddle cover-version. Not my favourite, mostly because every country now seems to be using this, which is kind of boring. But I still do enjoy adding new books, and I’ve now reacher 295 unique books (counting only book 1-7, not school books or manuscripts).
I also went to a flea market, where I found a box set with books 1 to 4 of the original British adult books. They’re not perfect condition, but better than what I had before and the box is really nice!
For my birthday in November, I got the new interactive wannabe-MinaLima book. Or rather, I should have gotten. My aunt bought it for me, but then it was sold out from the publisher (Bloomsbury) and that order is still pending…
By the time I found out that I wouldn’t be getting it afterall, it was sold out EVERYWHERE. After searching for it online for hours, I finally found an Irish webshop that had it. I ordered it 3 weeks ago, and I’m still waiting… Supposedly the package is in my country now, so let’s see if I end up getting it or not.
I also felt like being kind to myself, and bought two of the new lego-sets released this month; the Cornish Pixie and the Philosopher’s Stone collectors edition. I really enjoyed building both sets. They’re so fun, and very nice for display as well, although the latter is very similar to the other collector’s set they made a few years ago that also has a snowy owl on top of books. But I love owls and books, so I don’t mind them being similar!
Honorable mention also to my friend who went to Morocco and brought home books 3-4 in Arabic for me, and also brought home 3 cute blind boxes with HP characters from Popmart in Singapore for me, that she gave me for New Year’s Eve! I have big love for friends and family that feed my Harry Potter addiction!
