Today I want to talk about my newest addition, the Irish HP1! Which I got by coincidence because of my new Professor Garlick cosplay. I have been playing Hogwarts a lot (maybe a bit too much) and I really wanted to do a cosplay from the game. I settled on Garlick, because I love her outfit and her positive spirits. I know she’s become a bit of a symbol for something else, and while I don’t mind people doing sexy cosplays, it’s not my style, so I set out to do a true to reference cosplay of her. I will probably make a more detailed update about that on my cosplay blog, but true to reference also means ugly, pointy brown shoes. Which is definitely NOT in fashion! So I spent a day visiting as many 2nd hand shops as I could. I was quite unsucessful in the shoe department, but I did score this Irish book, and as a bonus, HP5 in Signature-edition (which I already had in a box set, but shush). This brought me up to 33 different languages!
I’ll be debuting Professor Garlick at Gamescom this week, so hopefully I will get some better photos soon, but until then enjoy this mirror selfie.
Oh, and I did end up finding some shoes in a flea market that I painted. Not completely accurate, but close enough!
